I just received my Twist but got very disappointed! I ordered the Twist mainly for being able to control volume for my Alexa, which is connected to a bluetooth speaker, but exactly this is not possible, as the volume works for Sonos only? Am I right?

Am I to take it that you can’t program Twist to control Alexa volume at all? I can’t seem to have it respond to the twist motion. I can use the button to pause and play next track though.
Thank you.

I already set up the other Twist to control the lights with Alexa, but cannot use it to control the volume, unfortunately.
If I would use a Sonos speaker, connected to Alexa, could I then use

the Twist Push Button to start playing something (for example TuneIn) via Alexa (what I already have now)
and

then the Twist Wheel to control the volume with the connected Sonos?

The ideal would of course be if Alexa supported something like an "analog" value, but for now they only support setups of "when event X happens, trigger routine Y".

I hadn’t seen this post but already gone through the process of creating 4 routines that set the volume to my 4 most common numbers on the relevant Alexa device. It gets the job done I guess - but it’s pretty sucky and 100% not what I expected, especially after waiting 18 months longer than originally planned…

You can however use Alexa as well using the Advanced Dimming or Scene Blender feature. See

. In this case, an Alexa routine will be triggered once the twist is moved to a certain position.

We are working on making the positions more dense.
