When pressing the button, it flashed red three times and nothing happened.

At first, I suspected a Bluetooth or Hub issue. My Hub is running firmware 4.6.0, and moving the button closer to the Hub didn’t make any difference. I had also recently replaced the battery.

What finally seems to have solved the problem was cleaning the battery contacts.

I carefully applied a small amount of Griffon contact spray to the battery contacts using a cotton swab. Since doing this, the buttons have been working reliably again and I haven’t seen the three red flashes anymore.

I suspect there may have been some oxidation or contamination on the battery contacts, causing an intermittent power connection.

So, if you’re experiencing three red flashes on a Flic 2, even after replacing the battery, it may be worth checking and carefully cleaning the battery contacts.

Hopefully this helps someone else!
