    • Add HomeKit support via Homebridge with homebridge-button-platform

      Hey folks,

      I have published a Homebridge plugin that will create virtual buttons in HomeKit that you can trigger using the "Internet Request" action of the Flic Hub LR.

      Check it out here: https://www.npmjs.com/package/homebridge-button-platform

      To configure your Flic, just add an Internet Request with the following values:

      • URL: http://<homebridge>:<port>/uri
      • Method: POST
      • Content Type: application/x-www-form-encoded
      • Body: event=click (Or double-click or hold)

    • Flic Hub API?

      Is there an exposed API for querying the Flic Hub (LR)? I'd like to be able to programmatically determine the buttons that have been connected to a nominated hub.

      Mine isn't quite as bad as 100 packets per minute, but I am getting a DHCPREQUEST every 45-60 seconds. The lease is for 12 hours.

      This only happens with a wired connection, btw. If I disconnect the cable and configure wifi, the Flic Hub behaves itself.

      If you want more advanced control over your LIFX devices, I wrote a blog post with a few examples of how to leverage Photons Interactor to do some really nifty stuff, including starting/stopping Tile and Beam animations.

    • Advanced LIFX LAN control using Photons Interactor

      Hey folks,

      I have a pretty extensive LIFX deployment at home (55+ devices with at least 1 of every type) and was a little disappointed at the limited functionality included with the default LIFX LAN and LIFX Cloud actions.

      So, I did a bit of poking and prodding and wrote a blog post about how you can create advanced and complex LIFX actions by leveraging Photons Interactor.

      This is a pretty advanced topic, so it may not be for everyone, but I still think it's worth giving it a try. If you have any questions, ask them here and I'll do my best to help you out, if I can .
