Problems with linking button with ios Shortcuts

I am trying to use the ability to us a Flic button to run an ios Shortcut amd an encountering problems. I set it up once and it seeme to work but truing to re-establish it the Flic app says that the button is 'out of range'. I suspect that there is something else going on as the button is less than a foot away from the device and is showing as Connected in Bluetooth. I have reset up the button, used another button, reverted the button to factort settings, none of which seemed to make any difference.

Any suggestions? The process I am following mirrors the steps outlined in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8SgVyn1i08&t=1s and also elsewhere in this Community.
