Flic Duo working with ForScore, but after some time, needs 2 clicks to turn page

I've got a new Flic Duo, an iPad Pro 12.9inch 6th Generation running iPadOS 26.6.1, the Flic App 7.1.1, and ForScore 15.1.2

Using the 2 buttons, I can turn the page forward or backward fine.
But when starting a practice session, the first click doesn't work. I have to click a second time to get it to turn the page forward. I've learned to click forward and back at the start of a session to avoid this. But sometimes in the middle of a session, I get the same behavior. Perhaps I've been working on page 1 too long, or I take a break and come back...I don't know how long it takes to "time out" to the point where it takes 2 clicks. But it's panic time when I get to the last bar on a page, click the button, and nothing happens.

Maybe this shouldn't be in "General Discussion", I'm not sure because is my first post. Thanks for any help.
