    • Have Flic buttons been affected by the AWS outage?

My buttons use a mix of integrations. All are working fine except any that use the Alexa integration. The problem started happening at the same time as reports of the outage.

For example I have a couple of buttons by my bed. Both use a mix of Alexa and Homey integrations for different types of push. The Homey ones work fine (including those that interface with Alexa via Voice Monkey) but the ones that integrate with Alexa do nothing. The hub is not showing any issues and the problem persists over a reboot.

Is there something I need to do to get them working again, or do I just need to be patient?

    • RE: Can’t open Flic buttons. Help!

@garryjoss Same issue here. I purchased a watch back opening tool. There're available all over the place. If you look at the back of the buttons you'll see two indents just like a watch back and this device makes it easy to open them.

I've also used a pair of scissors, but that's not so easy.

When refitting, just make a small enough turn to keep the button together. Hopefully, you'll be able to replace the battery using Flic's suggested method next time.
