I always clip my flic to my belt, which has worked well, except for once when it somehow slipped off. The other day I was carrying two laptop bags with me into work and while it didn't dislodge the entire flic from my belt, the contact with the bags did apparently manage to twist the back cover off and when I looked down at some point saw they were gone. I traced back all my steps from the morning but was unable to find them.
So, I'm wondering if there's a way to get a new back cover so that I don't have to buy a whole new flic. That small piece of plastic I'm guessing should be a lot less costly than a new flic!
Additionally, I would suggest when you are considering new hardware versions of this device, you might want to make it a little harder to twist the cover off - maybe creating some kind of locking mechanism? Just a thought!
