I have two Flic LR hubs. Ideally, like other devices, one would be able to set up both wired and wifi connections so that if something happens to the ethernet connection, the wifi connection would be active.

With the Flic Hub LR, if Wifi is configured and you plug in the ethernet, both network interfaces are active making the device look like two devices on the network and and they both take the same IP address.

Needless to say, having a duplicate IP address on the network is an issue.

The workaround, to disable the wifi interface is kind of hacky and non-preferable.

@mp not sure exactly what you mean here. You say that both interfaces take the same ip address but having two ip addresses is an issue?

What happens is that each interface will get an own ip address. This is how it always is when a device has multiple interfaces. When the hub makes for example an http request, it will use the interface that the kernel determines currently is the best one. If one interface gets disconnected, it will use the other one.

How would you like it to work instead?
