      Hi, I just receive my Flic button Kit, I have connected the Flic Hub to my iPhone and then also connected a flic2 button to the hub via the iPhone. I have set the button a sound when the button is pressed, but there is no sound that comes on the iPhone.

      I then try to connect the flic2 button to the iPhone directly, bypassing the Hub connection, then press button and sound works.

      Is there something that I am missing when connecting via hub? Why does it not cause the sound to trigger?

      Thanks

      TN

        @tnx While the Flic team has explained how this is by design, if you have a specific use that requires a button on the hub give you feedback on your phone, such as a sound, I can suggest a third party app such as Pushover.

        https://pushover.net/

        It’s somewhat technical, but once everything is setup, you can create a URL that is launched in the background by the Flic hub (Internet Request) which then generates a popup on your iPhone. The sound, priority, message, and icon for this popup can be customized for each button if desired.

        And, if a friend or family member will install the Pushover app on their phone, you can use your buttons to send notifications to them too.

        Pushover is a small $5 one-time fee per device with a 30-day free trial. It’s been immensely valuable for me.

          @tnx this is by design.

          Buttons connected to the phone will sound on the phone and buttons connected to the hub will sound on the hub.

          It does not make much sense to play sound on the phone for buttons connected to the hub since the communication channel between the hub and the phone is down when you close the app, or go out of range.

            @Emil Thanks for the reply. Yes, the sound does play when a speaker is connected to the hub, however, why does the sound not play on the iPhone as well?

              @tnx The play sound action will play a sound on the hub. Plug in a speaker using the 3.5mm port and you should hear it.
