Flic Universal HID keyboard realtime HOLD
-
Created a "Real-time" Keyboard Command to Push trigger so my HID keyboard keypress makes the key correspond to the actual button down and up event.
This works great for holding down for a few seconds, but after I am holding for a longer period of time, say 10 seconds and let go the "up" event never gets sent to the computer, so the button is held down indefinitely.
As if that wasn't bad enough, pressing the button does nothing and is completely unresponsive for almost a minute after that. After you wait a minute or so the button comes back to life and you can press it to get out of the constant keypress state you've entered.
But.... if you hold it down for more than ~7-10 seconds or so you're back in another state of being unable to release the keypress and the cycle repeats.
Why is this happening? How can we fix it?
The button works flawlessly for hours at a time as long as you keep the button held down for just a few seconds at a time. -
@Emil
Ahhhh ok that makes perfect sense that's what's happening.Can anything be done about it? I'm using this button as push to talk and only being limited to talk for less than 7 seconds is not gonna work.
Sometimes I have more to say!

@Jamer-Morrow when you hold down for 7 seconds, then it temporarily goes back to normal flic mode so that you can connect it again to the flic app.
