Universal keyboad on Pixel not working?

Just bought a Flic button to trigger timing events which are normally done by pressing the space bar (browser based application). This works fine on my iPad but not on my Pixel 8. Did anyone get this properly working under Android? If I use any of the normal actions (open a browser instance), this works fine so the button is detected and operational. If I set it up as a universal keyboard, not working at all. I tested this also by assigning a key and tested this in the Notes app, not working at all.

Make sure you press "Save & Disconnect" as instructed in the Flic app when you are done with the configurations. Then you need to go in to your desired phone's Bluetooth settings and pair the button as a keyboard (Press the Flic button once to let it advertise after you've disconnected it from the Flic app).

@Emil Btw, did a quick test with a physical USB keyboard connected and this works just fine when pressing the spacebar.

@Emil I have and it show as connected. Do I need to leave the Flic App running or not?
