Control Roon Audio via Flic & Matter: Introducing js-matter-roon-bridge

A lightweight Node.js bridge exposing local Roon audio zones as native Matter endpoints. It enables direct, low-latency tactile control of your Roon setup from Flic smart buttons, Flic Twist, and Flic Hub over standard Matter protocols entirely on your local network.

      What is Roon Core?

Roon Core is the central brain of a Roon audio ecosystem. It manages library metadata, connects streaming services (Tidal, Qobuz), executes DSP audio processing, and distributes bit-perfect playback across all network-connected audio endpoints and DACs.

      Supported Features for Flic

      • Tactile Transport Control: Trigger Play, Pause, Toggle, and Next/Previous track using single-press, double-press, or hold actions.
      • Volume & Mute: Smooth volume stepping and mute toggling via buttons or Flic Twist rotary input with debounced state synchronization.
      • Preset Launching: Start designated playlists, live radio, or albums directly through Matter ContentLauncher.
      • "All Zones" Global Control: Dedicated endpoint to pause or mute music throughout the entire house with a single click.
      • Web Commissioning UI: Embedded dashboard generating Matter QR codes and pairing codes for instant pairing into Flic Hub.
      • 100% Local Execution: Operates over local UDP without external cloud dependencies.
