      Hi,

      I'm trying to get my Sonos working with my flic button. The issue I'm having is that when I go to configure my spotify to start playing, no playlists or tracks populate the list. I'm able to control spotify directly and my playlists show up for other applications. Anyone know what the issue could be?

      Thanks,

      Bruno

        @willow-gnat-kabob The Sonos playlist feature is not present in the latest mobile app, i.e. in their new redesigned app. But on their public todo-list there is a task listed that they will add this back. In the meantime you can use the Windows or Mac app to create a Sonos playlist.

          Hi, what is the state of this? Sonos seem to have stopped supporting Sonos playlists. I have added a Spotify playlist as “Sonos favorite” but that does not make it appear in Flic. Is the playlist interaction then completely dead and the Sonos integration much less relevant? There must be some workaround within extra hardware requirements

            @Emil that was an easy enough solution. Thank you very much for the quick and good response!

              @woolfie Sonos's API actually doesn't allow third party apps (like Flic) to start playlists from third party providers like Spotify. The way we do it on Android is a bit hacky.

              The solution is to instead use Sonos playlists, which can be controlled by third party apps. A Sonos playlist can be created in the Sonos app and can contain music tracks not only from Spotify, but from for example Soundcloud as well. Once you have created your playlists in the Sonos app, they will be visible in the Flic app under the Playlist option when configuring the Sonos action. You will then be able to use Flic as a trigger to start such a playlist.

                @Emil Hi!
                I have the same problem as bmeliambro. When I press the three dots in the upper right corner to access the providers, it doesn't show Spotify, ONLY Spotify Web Connect.
                When I'm the Sonos option I can choose from three actions:
                Navigate, Spotify, and Playlist.
                When I select Spotify as my action, I get a message saying:
                "The Spotify option for Sonos is not yet available on the Hub", and there is nothing more I can do about it.
                I wanted to be able to press the Flic button to start my Spotify playlist on my Sonos speakers, but it seems like that might not be possible? Do you know anything about this to date, considering this thread is three years old?

                Thanks in advance!

                  Hi. I have to admit that this is a bit awkward, but we use the Spotify provider to search for playlists and tracks, which is not linked to from the Sonos action. So press the three dots in the upper right corner and press Providers. Then press Spotify (not Spotify Web Connect) and authenticate your account. After that your playlists should be listed. This applies for the Android app.
