In order to get some of my flic2 buttons open to replace the batteries, I had to peel the adhesive off from the back and replace it with stronger adhesive. I used the black foam 3M automotive tape. That allows the buttons to stick to surfaces stronger which allowed me to finally twist the covers off successfully.
Flic2 button is stuck and very difficult to open

As the title states I just can’t get my flic2 button open.. won’t budge.. can’t understand what it could be and why it become so rigid.. is there a tool I could use with the two little notches in the back panel?
Go grab your oldest flic2 button and check if it’s too hard to open!

@hello_marley , I have talked to their support. They say that they do not sell a tool to open their Flics, which is a shame because I have 2 of them that I can't get opened. I have even tried to use a pair of needle nose pliers and I still can't open them. I am dreading this because I have like 12 of them throughout the house and am just dreading having to throw them away when their batteries die.

Indeed, impossible to open and change the battery. You won't notice it except after a period of time ending in the trash. Nice product at start, great marketing, nice website but in the end only lasting one batterylife.
Expect no response from flic neither ...
