I'm a little disappointed too but understand.

I have used external PoE splitters for my Raspberry Pi's. They work well and not expensive.

For example, take a look at this on Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CNKX14C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have a few of those and they work well.
