I just bought a Flic 2 starter kit - 3 buttons and a hub - and I'm going nuts trying to get them working with (or even seen by) Alexa.

I've installed the Hub and added my first flic without any problems. I tested the Flic with the LifX integration and it works great.

Here are the initial steps I took:
Installed the Flic app (iPhone 14, latest version of iOS)
Plugged the Hub into power and ethernet
Configured the Hub with the app
      Added my first Flic button
Tested the button with LifeX lights, worked great
Added "Trigger Alexa" to the Push action of the button
      Launched the Alexa app
Added the Flic skill and enabled it by logging in successfully
      Alexa begins device discovery
      No devices found

I've repeated this process more than 20 times, trying the following in multiple variations:

      Trying two different Flic buttons
Removing and reenabling the Flic Alexa skill
Deleting and reinstalling the Flic app
      Updating the Flic Hub firmware
Connecting the Flic hub via ethernet only, WiFi only, and both simultaneously
Force-closing the Flic app before launching the Alexa app
Pushing the Flic button repeatedly during Alexa discovery
Pushing and holding the Flic button during Alexa discovery
Triggering Alexa discovery by voice from a different Alexa device
      Deleted and re-added Flic buttons
Removed and re-added Alexa trigger to button
Tried assigning Alexa trigger to Double Push and Hold instead of Push
Probably a few other things that didn't make sense but I tried them anyway

I'm reasonably savvy with current smarthome stuff. I have multiple Alexa devices, and smart bulbs and outlets from multiple brands all through the house, a full Nest camera and smoke detector ecosystem, a SmartThings hub with moisture and door sensors, etc., and have never had any major issues getting everything to work, especially with the Alexa connection piece.

Does anyone have any ideas to try before I bundle up all my Flic stuff and send it back for a refund?

      Many thanks in advance!

      Hal

Sorry for the issue, it was an error at our side on our backend.
Please remove the buttons from the hub and add them back while the hub is connected to the internet.
Then assign the Alexa action in the app to the buttons, while you have internet.
Then they should appear in the Alexa app if you discover devices.

@Emil The serial numbers for the three buttons are:

            BH06-E45033
            BH06-E43417
            BH06-E42186

Hi again. Could you please give me the serial numbers of your buttons as well? (written under the battery)

Just as a general update, I've tried a factory reset of the hub and started from scratch, no change.

                  Sure - it’s HBACF01-36505.

                  Thanks!

@hal_bryan Hi. Can you please give us your hub serial number so that we can check if everything seems correctly set up in our backend?
