    • Button as a wearable.

I've been using my Flic as a wearable by using the clip back, and sliding it onto my Fitbit band.

      • list item1x click for Play/Pause on my iPhone

      • list item2x click adds a "workout entry" in my calendar with my gps location

      • list itemHold, shuts off house lights, set Nest to away, arm security system.

Would be cool if the Flic had another "strap" accessory back that allowed it to slide onto a watch band. Would be a bit more secure than the clip, and wouldn't mark up the band over time.

    • Flic Universal!!!!

Flic Universal mode is a fantastic new addition!

Finally I can configure three keyboard shortcuts with my work machine (win10) for toggling options in Teams (via HID keyboard commands) to Toggle Mute, Toggle Video, End Call ... without any additional software. These same actions on Mac previously required something like Text Expander to accomplish. Great new feature I wasn't aware was even coming.

Hopefully this signals the Flic team's re-ignition of development/features that have been static for so long.

    • RE: Harmony control buggy when not completely dysfunctional

I just setup an action on both a Flic 2 button connected to my phone, and a Flic 2 button connected on my Hub 2.
Both were setup to run a Harmony Activity that turned on TV, receiver, and changed the input on the receiver and it worked like a charm on both.

Prior to this I had not had Flic integrated with my Harmony. I'll continue to test them and post back if they STOP working as expected.

    • RE: move button from old iDevice to new iDevice?

I can't test this as I am can't exactly replicate this situation, but if you open the Flic app on the new iPod, go to the button and click the Gear icon in the upper right corner. From the menu that comes up you should have a Connect, Disconnect, and Delete option.

What happens when you try to Connect?

    • RE: Flic 1 on Hub 2?

I have two Flic 1.0 buttons and four Flic 2.0 buttons on my Hub 2 and they all work just fine for the various tasks I have setup whether they are direct/built in actions or IFTTT actions triggered by the button.

    • RE: Common Flic Use Cases

I have several buttons configured to do different things around the house (both 1.0 and 2.0 buttons).
Here are some of the tasks I have assigned:

      • Control a Wemo On/Off switch to turn on a small space heater for cold mornings in my office space

      • Turn Nanoleaf panels on/off via IFTTT

      • Turn Philips Hue lights on directly via Flic Hub

      • Set a specific temperature on Nest Thermostat via IFTTT

      • Add a new entry to my iOS calendar via IFTTT, that I've taken a daily medicine (Button is on the bottle)

      • Turn on/off my TV and Audio Receiver directly via Flic Hub IR

I have one button directly connected to Flic via my phone:

      • Play/Pause control while walking the dog. So I don't have to get my phone out to pause a podcast when I inevitably run into a neighbor who wants to chat.

      • Arm/Disarm Motion Detection/Push Notifications from security cams via IFTTT

Hope this might spark something useful for you to create.

    • RE: Flic Hub LR hangs once a week.

@Emil It seems to be happening every day now.
My Hub is hard wired. Not WIFI
I changed out the power supply yesterday.
Currently using an Apple USB iPhone cube. Output is 5V, 1Amp

I got my unit a couple months back (December 2019) and its been flawless until just recently.

I'll try to disconnecting my 5 buttons and see what happens.

    • RE: Flic Hub LR hangs once a week.

      Just happened again today ...

      • red light is ON

      • The unit does not feel warm

      • The IP address is pingable on my home network

      • Flic app seems to get stuck when trying to connect

Rather than immediately reboot it, I let it go for a few hours, but it never recovered on its own.

    • Flic Hub LR hangs once a week.

About once a week I will start hearing a distorted clicking noise playing through the speaker I have connected to the Flic Hub LR. When the is happening the App is unable to connect to the Hub, and none of the buttons work. Each time it requires a reboot to get it working again.

      Anyone else experiencing this?

My Hub is connected to a battery backed UPS, so it is definitely getting clean power.

    • RE: Where is the battery

      umm, inside it? 🙂

if the front of the Flic is facing you, twist it counter clockwise and it the back should open. It uses a CR2032 coin battery.

The only time I ever see a light on my Flic is when the battery is being replaced for a brief second, or when there is an error of some kind. You will see Red shine through the Flic logo. Other than that there is no light during normal operation of the button.

    • RE: Wemo integrations broken.

      Any updates to report?

When I “modify” my WeMo settings in the Flic app, there are 6 devices shown (I have 9) and I see duplicates entries for some of my WeMo switches.

If I hit “Search for WeMo devices” while on the same WiFi network Flic app eventually reports none found.
