Same experience with flic2.. so hard to open and change battery.. what’s the trick?

Nowadays, you can set the button to operate in HID mode. In the Flic app, add a Keyboard Command action under Universal Actions.

@sturpe when you pair the Flic button in the Flic app, you need to press "pair" or "pair and connect" to any system dialog that appears. Otherwise it won't work.

The Google Assistant integration we have is the one on the phone. Basically when you press flic then the voice assistant on the phone will open up and begin listening for a voice command.

Google Home does not allow third party triggers in their ecosystem (yet). They were planning to add support for buttons some year ago but for some reasons dropped those plans. Maybe because they want people to use their voice, I don't know.

We have direct integration with IKEA Trådfri and their Sonos speakers. Deltaco is white labelled Tuya SmartLife devices, so I guess you can use them through IFTTT.

Not sure but try to remove the buttons from the Flic app and add them back. It's important that you have an active internet connection while adding the button and configuring Alexa in the Flic app, since that sends a signal to our backend that the Alexa action is used for this button on your account or hub.

The IR device consists of a transmitter and a receiver, which are separate.

If you can record signals in the IR provider in our app but your device does not react when played back, and you have tried this for multiple devices, it might be that either the hub pcb or ir accessory has become broken.

I've had a similar problem today. I connected my Flic Hub to the Ethernet port while being connected to wifi. Then I disconnected wifi from the mobile app.

I clicked on Test Connection and confirmed the Internet access however Ethernet was showing not connected in the app however I couldn't log in to the SDK.

While the Flic Hub was powered, I removed the ethernet cable and plugged back in and it reassigned the IP. Then it worked.

@paul-mckibbin Our Alexa integration is a cloud to cloud integration. After you have set up Alexa, you could theoretically throw out the Alexa device through the window and uninstall the Alexa app and it should continue to work, assuming you have set up Alexa to perform another cloud action (initiated by Alexa cloud)...

So I can't understand why the app version in your phone is important.
