Start an IOS Shortcut with an Flic Button
-
Is it possible to start an IOS Shortcut with Flic2 Button?
I cant find anything in the Flic App. -
@scullracer I’ve not got a flic on me to check this but I think that you want to choose the option for the flic to open a URL and then use the URL shortcuts://run-shortcut?name=Your%20Shortcuts%20Name
The full documentation is at apple https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/shortcuts/apd624386f42/ios
Hope it works for you

You can actually trigger an iOS shortcut using a workaround—if you have an older iPhone with a home button (which is the issue in my case).
Here’s how it works: you can configure your Flic button to simulate a home button press (double or triple clicks). Then, on your iPhone, go to Settings and set a multiple home button press (e.g., double or triple press) to trigger your shortcut.
The downside is that most modern iPhones no longer have a home button. Additionally, the Flic app doesn’t currently offer support for using the triple tap on the back of the phone (a feature available on newer iPhones) as an alternative to the triple click on the home button.

@scullracer Hi!
Sorry to hear about the hardware issues. Unfortunately it is not possible to create such action for Flic in iOS due to limitations in the API to trigger arbitrary Shortcuts.

Well it seams this is not possible.
So i can throw away the Flic and search for something better.
I even had to repair it becaus at the first Batterychange the Metal from "Minus" broke off.
