      Out of the box, Raspberry Pi OS does not seem able to pair with the Flic2 buttons in Uni mode.
      I gather that this is because the default stack is not reliable enough. I see there is a specific flicd daemon on GitHub, but I don't readily see how to use that just to create keyboard shortcuts.

      What is the simplest way to get the same effect as I have on Windows - configure, pair and click ?

        Could you describe at which step it failed? Did the RPi discover the Flic at all?

        I don't have a RPi at hand but just tried with Kubuntu and did not see any issues.

        Also to make sure, did you add it by going to System Settings -> Hardware -> Bluetooth -> Add new device?
