Brand new flic won't pair

I bought 3, one of them wont pair.
iOS flic app, click add, click the flic, app says found, circle progress moves round, dialog pops up to say new bluetooth pair, press confirm, then nothing happens for 3-4 secs then new dialog pops with same message, pairing never completes.
Tried 10s press to unlock, tried other phones, tried when all other phones have bluetooth off.
Is it dead? Need new battery maybe? -
