@abboberg said in FlicTwist LEDs doesn't rotate any more:

And i remembered something like a switch in settings between 'dimming' and 'rotate to select 4/12 positions'. Currently I have the dimming function.
I will search in the Twist-settings in the app...
(because i prefer to use the 4 positions)

Found it.... in the Push-Twist there is the Advanced-Selector.
      Back to work.... 😉

      @Emil Yes, that worked.

I only added an 'internet request' (post a webhook) to a smart dimming dimming point. The leds also light up when I Push-twist, while there are no actions assigned yet.

    • FlicTwist LEDs doesn't rotate any more

I have a FlicTwist. A long time now. Kept them in a drawer because of the lack of API functionality. Batteries where worn out.

I changed the batteries and now - even after a factory reset - only one LED (the top one) lights up. There is no twist or hold-and-twist reaction any more on the LEDs. Just the top-LED is on when button is pushed.

With the factory reset i have seen them light up, so they are working.

      What could be the problem?

API & app reports i have firmware 2,
      Android-app v3.12.1 and FlicHub v4.3.8

    • RE: Update SDK to use the FlicTwist ?

@mosthated said in Update SDK to use the FlicTwist ?:

It's been over two weeks since the last official reply. It would definitely be nice to see some updates on the status of this. As of now, I waited two years for a pair flic paperweights.

I see an update of the version number from 4.2.11 to 4.2.13.
No sign of any changelog. Neither in the sdk-documentation.

My hope is still on a added 'ButtonTwist'-event in the Button_class

@Emil i read that a priority (suggestion) list can help:

      • Support for Home Assistant, the possibilities (and number of youtube-makers) are endless!
      • FlicTwist support in FlicHubLR SDK

@Emil ok. thank you for your reaction.

But if the current hub fw version is 4.2.11, where is the 'full Flic Twist support' (mentioned in the blog-post)?

Second; i can see a [changelog] button next to the Phone App version (3.10.3 on my Android) but no [changelog] button next to the Hub version.

    • RE: Hub Mini without SDK - how to connect to Home Assistant?

@flic-r From the app you can send http-POST-request, which can be triggered by a webhook in HomeAssistant.
      That is my current workaround
(with FlicHubLR with SDK but without Twist-commands)

    • RE: Update SDK to use the FlicTwist ?

      @abboberg @Emil
I have FlicHubLR firmware v4.2.11, visible in SDK and FlicApp.

In the recent backer-post-update (#21, 16-oct-2023) you wrote
"We have a new firmware released for our Hubs (including the old Flic Hub) so they now have full support for Flic Twist and its functions."

      great !

      But I am wondering;

      • what is the version of this new firmware?
      • are there any proper release-notes and documentation?
      • is the firmware at someday auto updated or can I do anything?

      Keep us updated and informed!
(this can also be in this flic-community)

    • Update SDK to use the FlicTwist ?

I am using the SDK with various scripts, to send a webhook on button click.
Now that i also have the FlicTwist it still can only report up to 'SingleOrDoubleClickOrHold'. (see https://hubsdk.flic.io/static/documentation/)

With the added functionalitity of the FlicTwist i would like functions/types such as '3h-double-click' or '9h-hold'. And off-course 'TwistLeft' and 'TwistRight'.

Any timeline for a new SDK with FlicTwist-support?

(or is there a work-around with the current version?)

    • FlicHub update from v3.0.10 to v4.x not working

I have FlicHubLR with firmware 3.0.10.
To connect the just arrived FlicTwist (yeah!!!) it says it need an upgrade to v4.2.1
But selecting upgrade in settings in the app it says i already have the latest version.

How to I update the FlicHubLR to connect my FlicTwist's ??

Background: i am using the sdk from the beginning (even have a testimonal on your front page). For that purpose i received (back in 2020) firmware version 2.0.19-sdk2 in place of regular 2.0.19.
I want to keep using the sdk-scripts in the FlicHubLR.

(edit: i am talking about and using the FlicHubLR)

    • Flic2 eats batteries

I have four Flic2's connected to the FlicHubLR.
One of my Flic2's is draining any battery.
Normally i use normal noname CR2032, last time i used an expensive Duracell CR2032. But even that battery was low in a few weeks. It is located about 5m from the hub.

In the mean time i also reset my FlicHub and had to re-assign all my Flic2's to the hub (in the app).
The other three are working fine and one of them i replaced the battery a month ago. No problems since.
It is even further away from the hub and on another floor of my house.

What could be wrong with the Flic2? Is there a debug-mode to see if / why it is on all the time?

    • RE: 'Could not connect' message at login FlicSDK

      It works!

      The problem was

      • old firmware (could not update myself)
      • with new firmware the 'sdk-switch' in the flic-app was turned off, by default
-> red dot in the sdk-login-screen
      • turning sdk-switch to on
-> green dot in the sdk-login-screen
        -> login works!

      thanks @Emil for the directions

      update:
did a hardware - reset, deleted flic2-buttons and hub from the app
reconnected to the FlicHub, added a button to the app (firmware was not changed)
connecting with password from the back of the hub; logging in with the app works
entered wifi-credentials again, at router (and in app) new ip-adres visable
but still message 'Could not connect' when logging in @ flic.io

same from desktop (wired lan) as mobile phone with Chrome

    • 'Could not connect' message at login FlicSDK

After an unexpected power-down i can't login to the SDK.
I did not change the Hub-password (at the back)

I do get login-screen at https://hubsdk.flic.io/ and Hub is detected.
After putting password in there is a message 'Could not connect' in a red box.

With the app on my phone i can connect to the Hub.
      I am using firmware 2.0.19-sdk2
There is an option/button to change the password .."succesfull changed",
but still the 'Could nog connect' message at sdk-login.
