I have seen your link but like you, i'm not a developer.
I just need to unlock an easy action to launch the action "shoot a photo" in any app that permit to take a photo with volume button for example.
I know that there is a way to do it but i don't know which is the best one without write code.
I make an example, Flic app permits to read a sentence and my native camera app permits to shoot a photo with a voice command. So now, i have create the action to say "capture". So i open my camera app, i set every parameters and next with flic button i shoot the photo reading the sentence "capture".
It's absolutely an ugly way to take a photo ahahah that's why i would like to improve this function.
I think that simulate physical buttons could solve this problem in a better way.

I have tried this but flic app button is still reporting it is out or range

I'm having similar problems that are hard to pinpoint. I recently got a 4-pack of flic buttons. I started using the green one and the blue one. The green seems to be working, but the blue stopped working after just a few uses. It had run out of battery, even though it was brand new, so I took a batter from the black one and the blue one started working again, while the black one stopped. I take it the blue button just drained the battery. It did it again with the new battery. It only worked for a few days, during which I had only pressed it half a dozen times. I'll replace the batter once more with a brand new battery, but then I'm probably going to send the button back for service.

I also have a problem with my buttons showing as "out of range" on my phone, however when I press the green one, it does end up connecting and functioning, though often not on the first try. This is rather annoying. These buttons are supposed to add convenience and save me time, but in many instances they have actually wasted my time. Flic needs to work on reliability.

Try a good, brand new battery.

Hello. I have Flic buttons, so I tried this application. I play mainly badminton and table tennis and this system works very nicely, the game with flic is very comfortable. I am enjoying touch button at the winning point 🙂 Its very funny.

Did you ever get an answer for this? I'm looking for that myself too since I also got it as a gift just the other day. I mean, it is the very same kind of button and does the exact same thing since it is up to the app or the hub to tell what it actually does rather than the button so it seems weird for it to be locked. I mean, I don't lose my phone THAT often 😛
