@Emil I found something else when tweaking @jitmo's timeout function, but it appears to be a flic documentation issue:

ir.cancelRecord() results in a "TypeError: not a function" message , even though the Hub SDK documentation says it's a valid method; I think the correct method is actually ir.cancel().

(...but please, correct me if I'm wrong!)

When I tap on the virtual devices on iOS, nothing happens, there are no options, I can't delete them. I can add more however.

I have tried tap and hold, I have swiped in all directions, quick taps. Not sure how to remove any of these and they seem to persist even after deleting the app and reinstalling. I'm sure they're stored on the hub itself. Would resetting the hub clear them? is there a way through the app to remove Virtual Devices I've previously added?

@rickard the hub sdk will now emit duo events. There is no documentation written yet but if you print the events json serialised you will see how it works.

Do you mean the flic app or the Spotify app?

We have noticed this as well, but it is simply how the Spotify API works.

@Emil Any updates on this being added in natively? Really reduces the usability of the twist without it - and I'd much rather have slight lag than nothing at all.

As a non-programmer, I'd love to attempt Andreas' solution - but it's just slightly above my technical capability!

@sgemmen The hub firmware with Hub SDK support for Flic Duo is pushed out now (version 4.6.0). The documentation is not yet out but you can see an example event here that includes button number, orientation and gesture:

@edziu-konczewski The reason is indeed due to technical limitations.
Android does not expose any way for third party apps to answer an incoming phone call, at least not using publicly defined APIs. It might be the case that Tasker uses some internal hidden private API in Android, but such use is discouraged by Google and might stop working at any time. In every Android release, Google blocks more and more internal APIs.

That said, if you are happy with Tasker, you can simply use the Flic integration inside Tasker to trigger whatever you want in Tasker by the click of a Flic button.

The Flic Twist was delivered today and I tested it right away.
The MusicCast volume control works perfectly with it.
